Stacked shapes

When creating either solid or hollow shapes, it's possible to automatically cut the volumes into stacked blocks representing building floors with a fixed height. This is useful for quickly making urban areas with multi-level developments.

The automatic splitting can be activated by toggling the stacked icon on the wristband when creating primitive shapes.Β

The default floor-to-floor or ceiling height is set to three meters (~10 feet), but can be adjusted in the general settings

Stacked shapes consist of automatically glued floor shapes that can be edited like normal solid shapes. You can add stacked shapes on top of other stacks to merge them into towers or press a new (stack or solid) shape inside to carve voids that will automatically snap to the available floors.

Stacked shapes are great for calculating program requirements,Β and they can easily be taken apart by picking up parts of the stack to reorganize them in your scene.

Editing stacked shapes works the same as editing shapes with joined faces. More on this can be read in our editing chapter.
