Temp resource files
If you experience problems with your imported/downloaded content, such as files not loading or your list of imported files behaving oddly. You can clear your temporary resource cache. On the next startup, Arkio will then re-process all import source files in your \Documents\Arkio\Import folder and redownload any models and images that have been shared with you in an Arkio meeting or scene.

It's possible to manually remove these resource files from your device by clearing the files from the device paths at the bottom of this page.
Import source files
Source files placed in the Documents\Arkio\Import folder will be reprocessed when a new file is added. If your import files are causing issues, you can also remove the source file from the import folder that is causing issues, as those files will be reimported every time you clear the resources cache.
Deleting a source file from Documents\Arkio\Import will not delete your imported files from Arkio, as these files are often already processed to Arkio resources in the ResourceCache folder. If you wish to delete a resource from Arkio completely, you must do so manually.
Cloud group-imported files can also be downloaded from these import folders, so if you have issues with your imported files and are unable to redownload the source files, it's best to leave your Arkio cloud groups and join a new group instead.
Arkio scenes
Scenes contain your Arkio geometry and the details for placed imported resources, so if you are experiencing issues with loading your scenes in Arkio, it might be necessary to manually access your files on your device. Arkio scenes are saved as .arkio files on your device and can also be managed manually.
Backups from Arkio
Deleting the Arkio app from your Mac, Quest, iOS, and Android devices will erase all your saved scenes and imported data on that device and completely reset Arkio. Before you delete the app, you can start an Arkio meeting on that device and share the Arkio scenes you want to keep to the Arkio Cloud or to another device running Arkio via a meeting
This way, you will have a backup of your files, and you can share your Arkio scenes back to your original devices after a fresh install of Arkio.
Device paths
If you want to manually recover files, use the following paths on your device to find the files you want to restore or clean when experiencing issues.

It's safe to remove the contents of the ResourceCache folder, as it will be reloaded on the next run of Arkio (this has the same effect as pressing the clear button in settings). You can also clear the import and export folder if you're having issues with the data on your device. The Usermodels folder has your Arkio's saved scenes from that device.
Windows file directories
The easiest way to import and export models in and out of Arkio is by using the Windows installer version of Arkio, which also includes the latest version of our plugins and can be downloaded for free from our website.
The following file import directories can be used to manually manage and load files to Arkio offline on your local device. Uninstalling Arkio on a PC will keep your saved scenes and imports in your documents. When you reinstall Arkio, these will be opened again.
