BIM data

Inquiring BIM data in Arkio requires a Pro or Enterprise license. You can learn more about our paid features on our website and start a free trial within Arkio to try this

Arkio supports displaying BIM data from Revit, Archicad and BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud exports. To use this feature, you can open the Review panel and click on the BIM data tab. Then hover the imported BIM models and press to select the element you would like to inquire about. You can test BIM data on the imported models from our Revit sample scene and Demo 5, accessible from the Arkio start panel.

Note: This currently highlights all objects with the same material but shows the correct parameters of the Revit instance hovered in the BIM data panel.

You can access this panel in VR from the Review panel under the main menu. When the BIM data panel is active, geometry highlighted and selected with the dimension tool will display the active BIM data in the panel.

If you would like to use Arkio for design reviews, you can use the BIM data panel in conjunction with layer visibility, the section tool, X-ray mode, and Mixed Reality.

You can add Notes and Frames to your scenes, create geometry or sketches to highlight issues and clashes, and discuss possible solutions and prototype solutions with other collaborators during a meeting.
