Free meeting viewers

Arkio users can invite anyone using the free Arkio application to their live meeting. Depending on the host's subscription, meetings have different user limits.

Meeting capacity

Free Arkio users on the Starter plan can host 1:1 meetings without any restrictions. Both participants will be editors to let your family and friends experience the power of real-time collaboration across different devices using Arkio.

If a Pro user joins a meeting, they will become the meeting host, and the meeting capacity gets increased to a maximum of 6 participants. Free user in a professional meeting will be viewers (eye icon) and can only talk, navigate and see the latest changes in the model.

For an Enterprise host, the meeting capacity is increased to 24 participants. You can invite as many free users to your meeting as your meeting capacity allows. This lets you easily scale your collaborations using the free Arkio app and lets people join without prior Arkio experience.

View only mode

View-only users have a simplified user interface and can only communicate and navigate during a meeting. Only the host and licensed editors can edit the scene in real-time. When the meeting host activates presentation mode, everyone (including the licensed editors) will be converted to view-only. View-only mode can also be activated in single-user mode from the Review panel.

Temporary guest editors

Enterprise hosts can also grant free users temporary editing capabilities during a meeting by assigning an available floating license from their license pool to free participants. This can be controlled by the meeting host via the pencil icon next to the username on the meeting panel. This will temporarily assign an available enterprise seat to that user until the meeting ends or the editing permission is revoked by converting the user back to a viewer.

For example, when you have five enterprise seats for your firm and three of them are already occupied by colleagues in the meeting. You can then assign two temporary guest editors to free viewers in a meeting.

Inactive users

If more participants join than your meeting capacity allows, those users will become inactive and grayed out, and they will not be able to see what other users are doing. Please wait for a user with a Pro or Enterprise plan to join to increase the meeting capacity, or plan a smaller meeting instead.

Users using an older version of Arkio will also appear gray and inactive. They first need to exit and update to the latest version of Arkio on their device to be compatible with the latest modeling changes. You can download the latest version on our website.
