Save, reopen, and restore your scenes

When you are signed in to Arkio Web, your chats and their linked scenes can be saved to your account. Use History to inspect earlier saved versions and return to a previous design.
Check that your work is saved
A chat contains your conversation with the agent and is linked to the scene you are developing. Keep an eye on the save status while working:
Saved locally: Your latest work is saved in this browser but may still need to upload.
Saving to cloud or a pending status: An upload or required preparation is still in progress.
Saved to cloud: The scene and its conversation have been saved to your account.
Retry cloud save or an error: Follow the displayed recovery action and wait for confirmation.
Before closing the browser or switching devices, wait for Saved to cloud. A local save alone does not confirm that another browser can retrieve those changes.
Reopen your work on another device
On the original device, wait for the latest changes to finish saving.
Open app.arkio.is in a supported browser on the other device.
Sign in with the same Arkio account.
Select the chat from your library and wait for its scene to finish opening.
You can work on different chats in separate tabs. Avoid editing the same private chat and scene simultaneously in different browsers or on different devices. Use a shared scene when multiple people need to collaborate.
Preview an earlier version
Open the chat and scene you want to review.
Open History in the right-hand toolbar.
Expand a date or time group and select a saved version.
Review its timestamp and preview image. Use Load older cloud versions if that option is available and you need an earlier save.
Choose Dismiss, or press Esc, to return to the current scene without restoring.
The preview is a still image for reviewing a saved version. Selecting it does not replace the current scene. Read any warnings shown with the preview before restoring.
The versions available in the History panel depend on your plan and the scene's saved history. A new scene may show no history until it has been saved.
Restore a saved version
Preview the version you want to return to.
Select Restore and follow any on-screen confirmation.
Wait for the restore to complete, then inspect the scene and its save status before continuing.
Restoring replaces the current scene with the selected version. Arkio keeps the scene as it was immediately before the restore in history, so you can return to that version later.
In a private cloud scene, the conversation is preserved. Later messages may describe changes that are no longer present in the restored scene. Tell the agent what you want to develop from this version before requesting more work.
Explore an earlier version in a new chat
For a private cloud scene, select a version in History and choose Open in new chat. This opens a separate copy of the saved scene so you can explore an alternative while keeping the original project.
This option is useful when you want to compare design directions. It is available for private cloud scenes where you have the required editing access; it is not the same as restoring the shared scene for everyone.
Example: Before changing a courtyard building's roof, open an earlier saved version in a new chat. Develop the alternative there and keep your current design in its original chat.
Saving and restoring shared scenes
The host handles cloud saving for a shared scene. Check the Meeting panel for connection status and the last confirmed save; use Save now when available.
Restoring a shared scene changes the design other participants are reviewing. Coordinate with them first and wait for active editing to finish. Viewing access alone does not grant permission to restore the scene.
See Collaborate and share scenes in Arkio Web for sharing, permissions, and connection recovery.
If a chat or version is missing
Confirm that you signed in with the same account used to create the work.
Check Archived and choose Restore to library if the chat is there. This restores its place in the library; it does not roll back the model.
If the original browser still shows a local or pending save, return there and let it finish uploading.
If History reports a stale list or an unconfirmed action, use Refresh history where shown and inspect the result before trying Restore again.
If the scene still cannot be opened or saved, report an issue with the chat name, approximate time, device/browser, and the displayed status.
