Startup or performance issues on Quest

Arkio's performance is determined by the amount of processing power available on your device and may be affected by importing models that are too large for the device, misconfigurations, insufficient memory, and system errors. If you are running Arkio on a mobile phone or a standalone headset like the Meta Quest and are encountering startup or performance issues, you can use the following steps to troubleshoot.

Troubleshooting steps:

  • Restart your device

  • Load an empty new Arkio scene from the files menu

  • Connect to a different internet source (Some network configurations can block Arkio, and connecting to a tethered phone can bypass this)

  • Clear and re-import your temporary resources on your device Access and clear user files

  • Clean your Meta device configuration settings, like โ€œspatial services data" and "physical space history" from Settings>Privacy & Safety

  • Using more than one Meta account on a single headset can cause startup issues. We recommend using only one Meta account when possible and disabling App Sharing

  • Uninstall and reinstall Arkio (Make a backup of your important scenes to Arkio Cloud, as this will remove your existing files from your device)
