Arkio Windows deployment installers are provided to our Enterprise customers. You can learn more about our licenses on our website. For access to these installers, you can send us an email at support@arkio.is

Installation instructions

Arkio can be deployed to multiple workstations and virtual machines using a silent Arkio deployment installer. System administrators can use deployment software like PDQ Deploy, together with our deployment MSI installer, to customize the setup. A default quiet installation can be achieved with:

msiexec.exe /i \\cd-pdqdeploy\c$\YOURPATH\Arkio_vXXX.msi /quiet

Optional features can be added independently by command line and filling in "Yes" or "No"

The plugins will not be installed by default if no features are selected.

/qn INSTALL_REVIT="Yes" INSTALL_RHINO="Yes" INSTALL_SKETCHUP="No" INSTALL_ARCHICAD="No" INSTALL_NAVISWORKS="No"

Predefined configurations of Arkio can be used to preset runtime details for Arkio, like the license

You can download and edit a simple Arkio.config file to add your Arkio floating license details

{ "ActivateLicenseKey":"xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx" }

This file can be placed at C:\Program Files (x86)\Arkio\Arkio_Data\StreamingAssets

To make Arkio fill and validate a license automatically on startup for the deployed devices (when no license is filled)

If the users open Arkio for the first time on their devices. Arkio will generate the appropriate import/export folders for the various plugins at the %userprofile%\Documents\Arkio. The Arkio plugins should appear to users when they open their applications.

Just so you know, this installer won't auto-update Arkio and the plugins, so you will have to manually roll out a new version when an update becomes available. For users who always need access to the latest version to host meetings on devices that auto-update (e.g., iOS and Quest), you can best use the installer from our website.

Testing the installation

You can confirm that Arkio is installed and working correctly using the following steps.

  • Open a Revit sample model

  • See the Arkio plugin in the Add-In ribbon

  • Export the Revit model from a 3D view.

  • Arkio should start and open the Import drawer after a successful export

  • You can place the model in the scene and share it with Arkio on your mobile device using a meeting, if you want to test whether those features work well in your organization's network
